With winter fast approaching, I thought it was about time to do some blog posts themed around the colder months. To start off, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you about three lipstick trends you should give a go this winter.
Firstly, the classic winter berry tones. I have two here that I recommend. The first one being Rimmel Kate Moss Matte collection in 107, this lipstick has been huge in the blogging world for a couple of years now and I completely understand why. The colour is a stunning deep red wine shade and the matte finish gives in an extra wintry feel (although it can mean that the lipstick might dry your lips out, so try wearing a lip balm underneath). My second recommendation is a little more purple toned than the last. It's the Kiko lipstick in 914, which is a bit darker than the Rimmel one but if you're brave I would defiantly recommend you check it out. The formula of this is more of a satin finish and it's not drying at all. It creates a more vampy look which I love but due to the dark colour may be a little scary for some people.
The next trend is nude lips. The whole 90s brown nude lip is massive at the moment and I've found the perfect drugstore colour, Maybelline Color Drama in Nude Perfection. This product is in a pencil form and the formula is lovely, it has matte finish but still feels velvety on the lips and doesn't dry them out. I have also heard the Mac Velvet Teddy is amazing so if you're looking for a higher end product I would defiantly check that out!
The final lipstick trend I have for you is bright fuchsia lips. The lipstick I recommend for this trend is Topship Lips in Satorial which is actually more Coral toned as I didn't have a bright pink lipstick to hand but I'm sure Topshop will have one and the formula of these lipsticks is amazing. If you're looking for something on the pricier side, I recommend you check out Mac Candy Yum Yum.
