My Pamper Routine

We all love to pamper ourselves once in a while, so I thought I'd share my current pamper routine with you. This is perfect for those dreaded Sunday nights when you're not looking forward to Monday but still want to feel semi-presentable the next day. It's also great for, if you're anything like me, near enough every other evening.

I start of by running myself a warm bath and breaking off two sqaures of my Zoella Fizz Bar. I drop the two sqaures into the water whilst it's still running. I love the smell of all the Zoella products, they're sugary sweet but not sickly and can I just take a moment to say how proud I am of Zoe for bringing out her own products. I've been reading her blog for going on 4 years now and it's amazing how far she's come. I also light my Zoella Let's Glow candle and pop it on the side of my bath. This also smells lovely and fills the room with the same sugary sweet scent.

Next I pour some of my Ted Baker Bath Foam into the running water. I love this because it creates just the right amount of bubbles for me and it smells lovely, just like all Ted Baker products. I also really like the packaging of Ted Baker products.

Just before I get into my loverrrrrly smelling bath, I put my Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 facemask on my cheeks, forehead and temples to target any blemishes I have (which is usally quite a lot, mmm sexy). I then put my Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It face scrub/mask on my nose and chin to target blackheads. Normally, I would use a chemical exfoliator but on pamper nights, I like to use a manual one so that my face feels suuuuper clean. I love both these products and I've been using them for quite a while now because I find they really work for me, but let me know what you use because I'm always up for trying new things!

Once I get out the bath, I was off my facemasks and then put some Teangi tea tree oil on any blemishes I have to try and soothe them. After that, I use either my The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter - which I spoke about in my bedside beauty blogpost here - or my Bayliss & Harding Body Butter in cherry blossom, oriental lily & lotus flower (which is obviously going to be great because it has my name in it). I love the Bayliss & Harding body butter because it's very light weight so it sinks in quickly and it smells super fruity which I love.

Let me know your favourite products to use on pamper nights!

The Bedside Beauty Edit

Up until recently, my bedside table has been a complete mess. I don't know why, but it always seems to gather clutter and I'm not quite sure how. Anyway, I decided it was time to tidy it up. In true beauty junkie style, I have a collection of products within reach from my bed so even when I'm about to doze off, I can still use them.

Firstly, I need to take care of my dry skin (mmm sexy). I'm currently using The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter - I love it. It literally smells like chocolate and who doesn't like smelling like a bar of chocolate?! It absorbs quite quickly and is super moisturising, just like all the body shop body butters. I know it's probably best to moisturise your skin while it's still damp; but truth is, I've normally already spent too much time in the bathroom and so I decided to move this step to my bedroom.

My hands are something that get super dry and it really irritates me. To try and combat this, I use the Florence Anne 'grapefruit & lime' hand cream on quite a regular basis. This also smells great, very different to the body butter but still yummy and sweet. It's a lightweight lotion and sinks into the skin quickly which is good because it means you can still pick things up without the fear that they're going to slip out of your grip.

For my lips I use my trusty Lush Bubblegum lip scrub to exfoliate and then I use the body shop lip butter. I slather this on my lips and then leave it to its thing, I actually really like the smell of this which some people may find weird. When I wake up my lips feel so soft and  moisturised; that's never a bad thing.

The School Bag Edit

Being in my last year of school I've had plenty of time to figure out what essentials I should carry around in my school bag with me. I try my hardest to keep to the bare minimum when it comes to what I take to school with me but my other daily junk somehow finds it way back into my bag (oops). However, I've recently sorted my bag out and decided to write a post on my 'must have' school bag essentials.
This is what I like to call my 'beauty first aid kit'.

The first thing I take with me is my Soap and Glory 'Kick Ass' concealer. I love this concealer compact as not only does it have a peachy shade (perfect for hiding those dark circles, which we all know are very common when getting up early for school) and a more neutral shade (brilliant for those pesky spots), it also has a translucent powder and a mirror! I would always recommend taking a concleaer and powder to school with you if you wear makeup, just in case you need to touch up.

The second thing I consider an essential is a lip balm. I'm currently using the baby lips in 'hydrate' but any lip balm will do. I think this is super important because there's nothing worse than having dry lips! I also carry round the Lush 'charity pot'. This is a hand/body lotion and it's in such a cute, tiny tin. This is perfect for school because it's so small that it easily fits in your bag and I hate getting dry hands at school.

The next thing I would recommened carrying round with you is a hair brush and hair bands. I take my orange tangle teezer with me because we all know just how great tangle teezers are! I find it important to take these with me because if it rains (which is very likely here in England) then you can just tie your hair up and not have to worry about it.

The last two things I like to take to school with me are a perfume sample - I'm currently using a Gucci sample - and a nail file. Having a perfume sample is great because it means you can still freshen up throughout the day but you dont have to carry a massive bottle with you! It also means that you can try out new perfumes, which is never a bad thing. Carrying a nail file is very important. The most annoying thing is when you break a nail at school and there's nothing you can do about it, so your just left with a horrible ridgid nail.

Everyday Makeup

Finding your perfect 'everyday makeup' can be quite challenging. I don't think you can ever be 100% happy with your routine but I've finally got one that I'm content with.

On a day-to-day basis I don't wear foundation, only concealer. Of course I use to Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, which we've all heard about because everyone and their dog uses it. I put this under my eyes and on any spots that I have and then buff it in using the Real Techniques
Buffing Brush.

I then fill my eyebrows in using the Sleek Eyebrow Kit in 'light'. I love this kit as it comes with two mini brushes and a mini set of tweezers. This is great because it may come in handy when travelling (not that I ever do any travelling).

Liquid eye liner is an essential for me although most people probably wouldn't opt to wear it on an everyday basis. I've recently started using the Maybelline Master Persision liner in 'black'. I love the applicator of this product but due to my oily eyelids (sexy) it smudges after a while. I'm constantly on the hunt for something that will stay put but alas I am yet to find anything. I love winging out my eye liner as I have quite small eyes and I feel that the wing really opens them up.
I'm currently using the Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. I'm really liking this mascara, I find it makes my lashes look fluttery which is great for everyday.

For powder I'm using the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot. I brush this all over my face using a fluffy brush. I like this powder but not as much at the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent. I then contour using my Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush to do this.

Finally I use the Maybelline Color Drama intense velvet lip pencil in 'nude perfection' on my lips. I love this colour, it's the perfect Kylie Jenner browny nude that's so popular at the moment and it's so wearable to everyday.
